Firefox 1.0
For anyone who doesn't know: Mozilla Firefox 1.0 got released today. Please be patient if you can't get it right away. Unsurprisingly, it is rather popular.
For blog readers, please check the lower-right hand corner of your browser when you are visiting your favourite blogs, or any site with some sort of feed. I've started shifting from news aggregators to using Live Bookmarks for certain sites. It's just faster.
Note: They have changed the tab jumping key from CTRL+n to ALT+n. Luckily, there are helpful peeps on the IRC channel. Useful Extensions:
- Link Toolbar - site navigation
- Webmail Compose - makes mailto links go to your webmail composer, eg. gmail

i downloaded firefox and saw the live bookmark icon you refered to, but i have a lot to learn about mozilla...not sure exactly how that live bookmark works? do you know if i can import safari bookmarks to firefox? everyone is talking about firefox so i am thinking i will give it a try, but it will take some time to get used to.
Apologies for the confusion; you are not the only one who asked what Live Bookmarks are. If you click on the orange icon in the lower right hand corner, you'll be given the option to subscribe to one of the feeds. Doesn't matter which one you choose, I generally prefer Atom. It will ask you where you want to bookmark it. I use a folder in my toolbar. That's it. Now go to the newly added link and you'll see the headlines of that site. These headlines will update occasionally - if you right click you can force it. You should be able to export the Safari bookmarks to import to Firefox.
I'm giving it a try. The tabbing thing is definitely very cool.
I thought you were the big Opera fan who didn't like any of the mozilla alikes ;). Firefox is getting pretty nice now :).
