New York Subway
Not all subway stations have a way to get from one platform to another.
I didn't know this. Swipe card and discover the platform I'm on doesn't go the right way. Except there is no way to get to the other platform. So, I go back up and cross the street to reach the other platform.
My card gets flashed as "Just Used". Miffed, I go over to the booth.
- My card says "Just Used". How long before I can use it again?
- 20 minutes. You should know that.
- Well I don't. I'm a tourist.
- Well I don't like the look your face, so I'm gonna get rid of you.
I'm a little taken aback until she points to the end gate where I can go through. Hooray!
