This is one of the games I want to have a Game Cube to play . . . Ecco the Dolphin is another.

No "extracurricular" activities seem to be successful. I have my hands full at the moment because I have two cows expecting! Ecco was a great game on the Sega Megadrive. I find the Gamecube offers gameplay experience by having more unique and playable games than other consoles.

That's why I want one -- I really like the quirky aspects of their games. My John is getting "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" for his Gameboy for Easter, so we may be busy for a few days. I know he is going to get out his Light Saber and run around in his undies yelling about having Power! Having read James Herriott, I'm glad your pregnant cows are virtual, btw.

i have a question that no one has been able to answer what cow breeds can you get from mixing the cows like what happens if you put a brown cow and a regular or a marble and a brown etc.

this game is very, very, very addictive! i rented it last friday and got my mom to buy it on sunday. (i also got her hooked on it). LOL. i think its cool that you can run your own farm and have animals, and then to have a wfe and a kid. (i have dibbs on the redhead, she just plays hard to get). the whole game is cool. it makes me want to buy all the other harvest moon games.

I am just wondering if you die in the last chapter and where is the horse race and when does it happen? I too am totally adicted (might be spelled wrong) to this game. Having your own farm, raising animals, being able to grow stuff, and making people in this game happy. Except I can't figure out what I use the music sheet, incubator, or the monster works. I am trying to make more baby chicks but it won't let me!!! And I can't own more than 7 animals, 1 space says a cow is coming but it's not!!! There is a lonely empty space there! please responde!!

Hey this game is pretty addictive! Incase anyone cares I'll mention what I've learned so far (the hard way), the horse race is only if you hook up to a gameboyadvance, you have to be standing right to get a "fertilized" egg in the incubator, to take part in a festival you have to go to gustaf's house (but nothing significant happens), if you want tartan to hybrid your plants first you have to talk to him alot to make him like you then he will give you the option. If you want to marry Nami it is best to talk to her before noon everyday right after she wakes up, that seems to be when she is the least moody. She likes your fishing pole, your milker, trickblue flowers (fall only), artifacts from the digsite, and food you made (especially if it has sweetpotatos), she gives any produce to ruby though so dont waste it. She gets mad if you talk to her after noon, and she gets irritated if you show her any other flowers or your hoe or sickle, she thinks you're weird if you show her fish or milk. As soon as you befriend someone (you can tell if they watch you as the walk by you) try following them into their house, They will give you free stuff!

I only have a couple questions....I'm always reading and hearing about this ruby spice and how to duplicate it but I have no clue where to get the ruby spice! To get ruby spice you must befriend ruby (she likes flowers, crops, and loves milk, but its best to just give her flowers since if your crops or milk are grade B she doesn't like it) After you befriend her you have to try and talk to her in the kitchen of her inn but you have to do it when Tim the other guy isn't in there. You'll know if it worked because a cutscene will happen and she will ask you if you cook or like to cook, you have to answer yes then she will give you the spice. To bootleg it just use it alone when you cook. Make sure if you sell some to Van that you don't sell all of them cause Ruby won't give you anymore. Other people will give you things too if you befriend them and go to their house while they are there. Tim will give you a strange hoe if you talk to him in his room behind the counter of the inn. Romama will give you a wooden watering can when she is in her room. Gustafa will give you a strange sickle. Galen will give you a fishing pole.(I think you have to befriend him in year one and go to his house in year two.) Vesta will give you a weird hoe when she is in her shipping building alone. (I'm not actually sure what that building is but its the one next to her house.) Dr.Hardy will give you a weird sickle(Also year two since he doesn't even live in the valley until then) Daryl will give you a free seedmaker. Wally will give you wool clippers. These are the ones that I have gotten myself, I've heard that flora gives you a necklace, and that lumina gives you sheetmusic, and I suspect that someone gives you a milker too but I have yet to get them. If anyone knows how to get the raccoon, lizard, little dog from carter or anything else that would be great, cause I can't figure those out, I got the cat from Romama and the ducks in my pond though so I guess thats a start.

Hi people. I am also looking for all of the pets. I think that you have to be up after your wife to get them like with the cat but i'm not sure. The banana seeds are worth the most money in the game so you should really plant aload of them to reach 1,000,000g ... I'm half way there! If the game says tere is a cow on teh way, there more than likely is. Those friskly little cows get up to stuff in teh barn if you have a bull! You DO die in chapter 6 which is kinda sad, but oh well! We all gotta go some time! The harvest festival takes place on fall 5th in the blue bar, the new years festival takes place on spring 1st in the mansion, the summer festival and winter festival take place in their respective seasons in either the night time or day time in gustafa's hut. ait for him to go in there and follow. You need to talk to tartan ALL DAY until he gives you the option of hybrid to get hybrids. When you breed different breeds of cow, you will either get one or the pther. I bred a normal and a star twice. once I got a normal cow, the other time I got a star. The music sheet you get from lumina and the tumtum drum you get from gustafa. they are gifts for your child to influence his musical side. To get 99 toys, take the toys you own aout of the toy box and put them in the cabinet in the tool shed. you should then be able to buy them from van again. Give ruby crops and flowers to get her to like you. You should get the cut scenewith the ruby spice in teh kitchen in the inner inn. Mukumuku (the monster) is only around in winter. He walks up and down the path leading up to where the harvest sprites live. The cut scenes with him should take place when you walk into your house at 9 and walk back out at around 9:30 - 9:45. To get the chiwawa from carter, you have to wait ages! He will only give it to you once you have found ALL the stone tablets from his dig site and you can only find one ONCE per chapter! The lizard is given to you by Mukumuku aparantly, but i haven't got it yet... I hope all of this helped.

I've never met/spoken with ANYONE who PERSONALLY received the chihuahua from Carter in AWL. Has anybody here PERSONALLY actually gotten that tiny dog from the Dig Site?

The fishing rod you can buy from van, but the fishing rod g you have to become friends with galen to recieve. He will give it to you some tiem time in chapter 2. Enter his house at around 6 - 7 in the morning. He like the green grass that grows in summer ... the mushroom something... Also, could anyone tell me if it is possible to get a lizard from mukumuku if you didn't give hima fish in year two during the cut scene with daryl? If so, how do i get it? Can you own teh turtle as a pet? If so how do you get it? Does anyone know EXACTLY how to get the raccoon? Time? Place? Date?

Does anyone want a tip on a better way to push your animals to places? Well, instead of holding down teh 'A' button when pushing them, push them sraight forward, and choose your direction by chaging the camera angle with the yellow joystick on the controller! Go on! Give it a try! It always works for me! ...bit of a hastle in the barn though!

I love this game! Its so weirdly addictive, seeing as you spend most of your time just selling stuff, talking to people or riding around on your horse. I keep hearing about all these pets you can get from different people, and would love to know how to get them. I'm in year 3 now and I've got the ducks, and the cat from Romana, but is it really true you can get a dog from Carter? I've never talked to anyone who HAS got it from him, but I don't know if its true seeing as you already have a dog from the beginning of the game. Can anyone help? I've heard that you can get it by giving him food every day, and then he eventually gives it to you... Also, how do you get the raccoon from Vesta?! I heard if you befriend her she gives it to you, but I've already done that (I always give her flowers and crops, and I married Celia) and she hasn't given it to me yet. I've actually seen the raccoon though, it kind of just walks around by the wind turbines around the back of her farm. But how do you get it as a pet? Is there a certain time? Please help! I'm desperate to know

Well people, there is some sad news today. I have just found out that the translators of the game took away the ability to train your dog when they translated the game. You could train the dog in the japanese version, but not in the English ... foo! Also, the shed that never opens on your farm? It was going to bea horses stable, but the creaters changed their minds and put the horse in the barn. The shed is just there.

Hi! You can get all the seeds from Vesta or Marlin. Talk to them and they will ask you if yu want anything. I you say yes you wll have a list of seeds to choose from - they also sell fertilizer! You migh not notice, but when you have the list of seeds to choose from, there is an arrow whick lets you scroll onto more lists as there is more pages of seeds. Enjoy!

There is no horse race and tartan is a plant that hybridises crops that you get in the second year if you walk into takakura's house when he's in there.

Ok everybody mike to the rescue, i have the answers to your pet questions Racoon: you get this cute little guy in the summer of year 2 if you are very good friends with vesta AND marlin. Chiwawa:you get this little spec of joy when you either 1-find all the pieces of the tablet for carter(omg takes forever) or 2-give carter food almost every day (also very stressfull). Lizard: during the winter of the first year have a LOT of fish and go to the springs next to the sprites tree,here you will see a white monster named mukumuku, give him fish untill he starts jumping up and down and he will give you the lizard, i will find out about the turtle......l8ter, Mike

Okay people, looks like it's Melissa to the rescue! Now, first off, I'm going to say this s l o w l y so some of you can get it through your heads: THERE ARE NO HORSE RACES!!! I WISH BUT NO, SORRY, THEY ARE NON-EXISTANT IN THIS GAME!!! SO STOP ASKING, please. Ahem. Now then, the Milking Room is quite simple. You push the cows in, they walk to the milker on their own, they get milked, they walk either to the inside of the barn or the field, depending on where the other barn animals are. Eventually they will do this on their own, and you retrieve the milk from the place with the red light above it. The beauty of the milking room, is that you can just milk the cows, at any time. And when I say 'anytime' I MEAN anytime. I have milked my cows while they are still ASLEEP with that room!! Oh, and if you use the milking room on a cow that has just given birth, you get a lot of mother's milk, and it fetches a high price! To get the Ducks to lay eggs, buy a chicken and a rooster. Keep all the fertilized eggs and hatch them. Ducks don't sit on their eggs, chickens will sit on just about anything, and it is immpossible to tell Duck eggs from Chicken eggs. I know it sounds crazy, BUT IT WORKS!! I hope that this has helped. I'm in my 6th year, so I know what I'm talking about here. Oh and one more thing; THERE ARE NO STINKIN HORSE RACES!! Thank You.

We bought two female cows and neither one has ever given milk, why? When I try to milk the cows they gives me a (?) every time. Will the milking room help? Also our barn is full so I can't get them pregnant. The third cow just had a baby but it's been around two months and now she only giving one or two cans of milk? FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE JON! Your cow has to get PREGNANT first and then have a calf before she will produce milk. And your goat will stop giving milk soon. You can't sell it, nor can you get it pregnant again. And as for your other cow, also needs to have a calf before you can get any more milk. Hope this helps. Chaos makes the world go round.

you can get a chiwawa if your friends with the digging man (carter), and you can gat a lizard if your friends with mukumuku (the white monster that comes in winter) A racoon, you can get it from vesta after being friends w/ her. And a turtle, you can get it from Cody (the artist) after being friends w/him

if u buy a female cow u needa wait for a long time before it'll give milk. if the female cow stops giving milk u needa get it pregnet then after a year it'll start giving milk again. if they dont go in the milking room that means there to young and cant produce milk. easy money 1. be friends with ruby(likes A-rank milk)and go in the kitchen when shes there alone and get the ruby spice. go to ur kitchen and pick ruby spice once then press start. u'll get another ruby spice,keep doing that till u have 99 then sell it to van for 100each(only sell 98 if u sell all of em u cant get more from ruby) 2. on the first year buy the fishing pole from van and go fishing. catch lots of fish and sell them to van for 600each!. 3. get s-rank banana tree and in the summer get the banana and make them into seeds and sell it to van. to get s-rank tree u need tartan 1.get upseed in winter and have tartan use hybird(needa be friends with him to get it) 2.pick a seed(not a tree seed)and pick the upseed 3.after that the seed should be s-rank 4.use hybird again and have the tree seed in the first slot and the s-rank seed in the secont slot to get s-rank tree seed

I really love this game because you have 3 girls to choose from there is celia,muffy and nami and you have a child and your wife will come outside sometimes and your kid will too. U get flowers by picking it on the ground An u can only get da horse if you dont ship items for like a month (well thats how i got my horse )

Yeah, I have the milk processing room, my cows are producing milk.....but I can't get them to go into the milk room. If any one has any answers I would realy like to hear them. To get the horse you have to be outside on a sunny day when takakura comes home in the summer of the 1st or 2nd year.

I'm very good at this game so if you have any questions fell free to ask. I just can't figure out how to use the milking room.

How do you get golden eggs from your chickens? I feed and hug them everyday but all they give me is plain cheap eggs...

Millie, to get golden eggs, you not only have to feed and hug them, but put them outside on nice days so they don't get stressed. After a while they will start laying golden eggs. They won't lay them every day though.

Oh yeah, a little tip on putting them outside. Don't put them in the field, put the next to the chicken coop. It's just easier to round them up later.

What is the significance of the sprites in this version? I played the GBA one for months, and you have to take them items in matching colours. In this version they don't seem to accept anything.

Besides the fact that they tell you when the "new friends" arrive and give you the blue feather, they have no real meaning in the game. They're just like the teddy bear that comes to life. No 'real' meaning there.

Ok,people,sadly there is NO possible way to own the turtle.I am almost positive the whole lizard thing to is just myth.I have played this game INTENSIVELY over and over again befriending everyone everytime.I also e-mailed natsume about the so-called lizard,raccon, and turtle and you CAN'T own them in this game.In Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life nina races the turtle and the horse races are only in Another wonderful life as well as the dog training. Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life(AWL) has the horse races. It also has the dog training that was cut out of the other one. But it's basicly the same game.

nessa, the pond is 4 getting ducks in year 2 if u got the pond later than year 2 u won't get ducks and your cow might not milk cuz its gone through a year already and u have to get use a Miracle Potion so it has a baby and it will give milk again. hope this helps

I've just had a calf - well, my moo-cow has!! What is the best use for the special mother's milk? I thought I had to feed the calf with it, but it seems to need fodder like all the others. Should I cook with it, or sell it, or what?

u still have to give the mothers milk to the calf u show the milk to it and it will drink it, it also eats fodder but u put it in its little box.

To get the Racoon, Code, you have to befreind both Vesta AND Marlin. And you can't for people who marry Celia because he'll never become your friend if you marry her. Marlin likes crops(GOOD crops I might add), soups and curry.

For starters, your kid don't marry them. He just falls in love. Since it's Muffy's kid, he has the best chance for falling in love with Kate. Next, I got Havest Moon Another Wonderful Life three days ago and they got rid of the easy money-making methods. Or at least just the Ruby Spice Method. You can also change you clothes and train your dog. They made it so you have to buy the big fertle field(sorry if anythings misspelled) instead of having it at the begaining. That's all I have to say for now.

I'm on chapter 3 and was wondering how many years it takes until I get to chapter 4. How do you mix seeds? Why won't my cow give anymore milk? She isn't sick or anything! My other cow mango, I've had her for like 2 years and she still won't give milk! Why? And why can't I link to my gameboy with fomt harvest moon I'm married on both games but I still can't link! Sarah, first things first, chapter three is three years long. Second, you have to get tartan in chapter two to mix seeds. Keep talking to him till he gives you the option to hybrid. For your cow problem...you have to get the cow pregnet in order for it to give milk again. Once it has it's baby, it'll give special mathers milk that you have to give the calf. Then After a few days it'll start giving you regular milk again. Oh yes, and once you get a new cow it takes a year for it to mature. The link problem I don't know about that one. You might have to ask someone else. Last, there are six chapters in the game. You play ten years. Chapter 1 = 1 year Chapter 2 = 2 years Chapter 3 = 3 years Chapter 4 = 2 years Chapter 5 = 1 year Chapter 6 = 1 year Hope that helped.(Sorry if any misspelled words)

Millie, Rock's diary is in his room on the talbe thingy across from his bed. I THINK, not totaly sure, you have to get them to six hearts. To train you dog, walk up to him. It gives you the option to Hold or Train.It gives you a some options to choose from. You can check how trained your dog is when you look at ASSETS in you diary. I am not an expert. I'm just a dedicated gamer. I know tons of stuff on ALL my games and more. To answer Diane's question, the is no spicific spot to get BIG fish. But if you fish by the waterfall on the side of the dig site, your chances of getting RARE fish is greater.

The "little dog" takes a LONG time to get. There Is in fact two ways to get it. 1. Find a tablet at the dig each chapter and befriend Carter AND Flora. 2. Give Carter food EVERY day till he gives it to you.
