Springtime
Contrary to rumours, I have not been stolen by a cheeky magpie. In fact, I have been engaging in the springtime activity of painting and decorating. The hallway is white and shiny now. Smelly too, but that should disappear.
Of course the other indication of spring is the clocks moving forward to BST. I don't like clocks shifting, it always feels strange. And quite annoying having to go around the house changing all the clocks.

glad you are alive and well and surviving paint fumes and time changes! we don't "spring forward"with the time here in the states for another few weeks.
oops, i'm wrong. i think it is this coming weekend. regardless, hope you are managing well and enjoying spring. guess i'll be fixing all my clocks soon too.
What I find most tedious is the number of things that have clocks that don't need them. Why should my microwave have to know what time it is?
Ana - the government is keeping track of when you make soup.
I agree with Kelly - clocks on wayyyy too many home consumer goods nowadays. And because it's not a main function they inevitably make it a poor attempt and hard to alter and bad... For anyone wanting to know when the clocks go fwd/back in the UK: it's the last weekend in March (the Saturday night/Sun morning); and back again the last weekend in October (same). Useful for setting an electronic organiser's alarm if you have an OS version that doesn't know about it.
