Quick Update
I was going to list the travesties that was Battlestar Galactica 2003, but it is taking a long time. I have to watch it again because as I write, I remember more problems.
I have been reading Northern Lights. I can't believe that people even dare compare this to the Harry Potter books. This is in a completely different league. It has a proper story and is well written for starters. I will review it when I'm done.
Are IKEA designers given a set of parts which have been left over from mass-production runs and told to make something? Or do they purposefully create these designs requiring at least 2 different allen keys?

So, not keen on the new BG, then!
It was like watching a car crash.
Oooh, you finally started Northern Lights! (You're talking about the book also known as the golden compass, right?) I loved it.
I'm officially clueless...got some links folks? I am snowed in and very bored.
I thought allen wrenches always came in those sets of several different sizes?
I believe that Northern Lights is called the Golden Compass in the US. Up to Chapter 12 so far and loving it. Allen keys come with IKEA flat-packs. When there is more than one, you know you're in for a fun afternoon.
So does that mean you've watched BG then? And isn't it the same with any flat-pack stuff. My corner-desk from MFI has been the worst so far - some bits had labels, some didn't; and there weren't quite enough labels to figure the rest out without trial and error; the diagrams didn't always refer to the labelled numbers so that was guesswork too; need I go on? There was only 1 allen key but there was this other weird non-screwdriver-capable end too. This is one desk that's staying in as few pieces as possible should I ever have to move it.
