Yup. 15GB are replacing the 10GB ones for $299. I suspect the iPod minis will drop to $199 after 6 months.
At the moment the minis are priced halfway between. It's $50 more expensive than the competition, but it's only $50 less than a full blown iPod. Like Steve Jobs said, he's after the high-end flash market, not us lot who will pay the extra $50 for an iPod.
That makes sense. Gotta know your market. I expect to hear about schools not letting kids take these to class soon, like phones.

Looks nice though and iPod seemed very popular in the UK. I can't make the switch since I don't want to go MP3 (and I'm not sure about iTunes)... it'll be a Rio for me, someday.
